Sebastian Prestia is 16. He graduated from ASU Summa Cum Laude in May ’26 with a major GPA of 4.00, BS in Data Science, and is a former US Chess Team representee, earning a Bronze Medal in the 2017 Pan American Youth Chess Championship. His interests are a combination of data science and the entertainment industry. Largely self-motivated in artificial intelligence, his data science interests mainly revolve around computer vision and classification problems.

As a filmmaker, he has written many scripts–including a full-length feature, and is in the process of producing more shorts independently. He taught himself screenwriting and works daily to improve both his filmmaking and acting skills, applying the same discipline and analytical rigor to it as he does to his academic pursuits.

2015 ->

  1. Became the highest rated 5 year-old chess player in the US, 2nd in the world; a title he would continue to hold for the next 3 years

2017 ->

1. Received a Bronze Medal at the Pan American Youth Chess Championship representing America

2. Once more represented Team USA for chess in World Cadets (equivalent of chess Olympics) located in Poços de Caldas, Brazil

2018 ->

  1. Made the All-American chess team, one of the most prestigious American chess teams

2022 ->

1. Performed in John W. Engeman Theater for “The Sound of Music”

2. Got into Arizona State University at age 12

2025 ->

1. Learned and Mastered the inner workings of Artificial Neural Networks and Convolutional Neural Networks (image processing)

2. Finished his first feature film screenplay — Ethan Brant and the Lost Tomb of the Visigoth King, across 7 months, 6 drafts

2026 ->

1. Graduated ASU Summa Cum Laude (4.00 major GPA) with a BS in Data Science at 16

2. Finished multiple short film scripts and his first few films
